Short stores from a small town
We're not sure how you found us, we're just glad you showed up! Enjoy the big tales about small town life as seen from a 50 year old uneducated "want to be" writer.
My name is Robbie McAlpine and I am a life long resident of the best little town in the United States, Oneonta Alabama. I began writing when I was eight. Not short stories, but literally words like "the' and "he" and "Osmosis". To say I was a slow learner is an understatement. It took me two years to get out of the second grade. Ninety Eight percent of everything I have learned in life came from the old men in the barber shops in my town. Welcome to Barbershop Education.
I own the local radio station (WCRL Radio) in Oneonta. Feel free to download the app in your app store. This is me and my record player & microphone back in the day. I hope you enjoy the stories you find on my blog. Be sure to reach out and tell me about your small town southern life. I bet they're not that different from mine. Thanks again for stopping by.
Send me a message or ask me a question using this form. I will do my best to get back to you soon!
